Green Energy Cashback Scheme
The Government's Green Energy Cashback Scheme is specifically designed to help you invest in solar panels for your home.
It rewards you by paying you for every kWh unit generated by your system, even if you use that energy yourself. This is also on top of any payments you might receive from the National Grid for selling excess electricity generated. Under current rules, these payments will last for 25 years for PV panels, helping to repay your investment many times over.
The current cashback rate is approximately 41p per unit.
